Apart from finding teaching resources, you will find interesting information about students learning process.

Here you will find information about:
  • What learning process is.
  • What motivation is.
  • Why it is important for children's learning process.
  • How to guide your children in their learning process.

What is learning process?

Learning process can be defined as a process which involves a combination of social and environmental factors in combination with values, desires, volitional, behavioural elements  and cognitive processes (Deakin et. al, 2006 in Hoskind & Freiksson, 2008, p.18)

What is motivation?

According to Kendra Cherry:
Motivation is defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. Motivation is what causes us to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. It involves the biological, emotional, social and cognitive forces that activate behavior. In everyday usage, the term motivation is frequently used to describe why a person does something.

Why motivation is so important?

Motivation is important because it helps to influence the development of learning and thinking skills, therefore, motivation is central to the learning process. (Wiseman & Hunt, 2008, p.13)
